05"We were fascinated and impressed by our visit to your beautiful country.
As a farmer I was worried how the small farmers are going to cope with all the change that is going to happen to them. Only 40 years ago a lot of our farming was just the same, but we've had the luxury of gradual change. "

scaRamona is one of the few guides in Romania who can draw on her experience to set Romania in the context of other countries in Europe. Travelling with her is not only fun but fascinating

It was easy to exchange e-mails with "My Romania"and to tailor the tour to suit our interests. Ramona met us at Suceava airport in the north-east and from there on it was personal service all the way. "My Romania" had arranged for us to stay with local people for most nights of the holiday.

They gave us a warm welcome and with Ramona's help we were able to talk with them.
One of our local daily guides was a Rroma who was able to show us the tracks of wolves in the woods, as well as the claw marks of a bear which had climbed a tree to raid a bee's nest.

bernardTravelling with Ramona will give you a chance to see Romania through the eyes of a local.
Enjoy traditional food, hear interesting anecdotes and share some of the stories of her childhood and the changes that have taken place in this beautiful country.

"We don't hear much about Romania as a tourist destination, and that is definitely part of the attraction.
It is a wonderfully unspoilt country, beautiful countryside, fascinating culture, and incredibly friendly people.
Ramona made travelling in Romania very easy - she can show you the real Romania - alpine scenery, centuries of culture, and the occasional bear!
There is far more to Romania than vampires - go, and see for yourself!"

capstick201I have been emotionally drawn to wolves since spending a year in Alaska in the early 1970s.  I have seen tracks and of course seen wolves in various zoos, I have wolf recordings and books about wolves, but never have I been close enough to actually TOUCH one, until September 23, 2007, in Romania, when I had the exquisite experience of burying both hands in thick coats and rubbing while the wolf  actually pushed back, clearly relishing the backrub!
THANK YOU Ramona for that unbelievable moment!  It was one VERY high point of my trip.

carmel2020jessica“My Romania provides all the benefits of a tour and independent travel.
Flexible and personal; I was always able to indicate what I was interested in doing that day, the type of accomodation I would prefer - all these choices without  the price tag.
All the high-lights of our trip were as a result of My Romania's good planning - although few of these moments were arranged!
Invited into people homes, fabulous views, delicious home cooked-meals all made for take-home stories!
I thoroughly recommend My Romania for an insider view of Romania!"
